Stores your journal logs for a longer time than Frontier stores them through their API
Gives you access to download these journals at any given time
No need to create a new account or anything, just log in with your Frontier credentials
Automatic submission of your journals to EDDN

Authentication problems: Epic Games

Currently Frontier has an issue where the commanders lose access to the cAPI after they've stopped playing for a while.

As of now, we are setting those accounts on hold for journal downloads until we have a better solution.

The future of Journal Limpet

With the amount of maintenance to keep this service running, it has no longer become viable for me to continue hosting the service. Nothing is happening in the frontend of the app, as it is quite simple. But the backend part of it, to keep it smooth, have integrations working and all of that..

.. It's a little bit too much like a second job, when I already have a job.

I have not quite decided what to do yet, the project is open source on GitHub if anyone wants to try to run their own version of it.

Right now, the project does not spark joy, as I haven't been playing the game since 1st July 2021..

Current interval for fetching journals from the Frontier API: 10 minutes
